BREAK YOUR BARRIERS
In this article, I’ll talk about one of the most common barriers that people often face in their life and how you can break them. This is my personal opinion and it may not be the same for your life — so please don’t think that it’s the same as yours.
I started writing on Medium around 2016. Then I decided to start posting regularly but couldn’t find a good topic for any type of work. So I started watching some YouTube videos from different creators. That’s where I found myself but later I realized that I had more or less missed the point. When someone speaks about something you love (and love anything), the best approach is to write down all your ideas on paper and then discuss them with yourself first. you just need to take a break moment from what you do for a moment to relax yourself
I wrote down every idea I had during the day, thinking about it thoroughly. The hardest part was when I thought about everything. It took time to be happy with each of those thoughts. By the end of January 2017, I reached the top of the page. Maybe it wasn’t a big deal. But I know I wrote enough down because the following month I could figure out which topics I wanted to write about to follow up on my success stories.
At the beginning of 2018, I decided to focus on self-improvement, reading books and watching documentaries to learn more about myself. Since then my articles became less focused on topics such as “how to have a successful career”, “why you shouldn’t procrastinate”, etc. Instead, there were a lot more topics I considered. There are lots of different things to motivate yourself now, as long as you try. A lot of things that are out of our control make us feel unwise like we’re not brave enough to say things out loud.
My advice is to always stay positive and remember the small moments where you’ve given up trying. Especially because they’re just small pieces of your journey towards progress and greatness. Even if you see other people who seem able to achieve great things despite being unsuccessful in their way. They might never do it in your path! And by that, I mean that they probably won’t succeed in you also. You might just reach new levels and you may even become better than everyone else. Don’t underestimate that. People are very proud of achieving high levels while they are struggling. They are motivated by success and they are confident in saying that they did so.
How to get there? Have faith and think positively. Don’t let your ego get in your head and tell yourself all the reasons why you should not do what you’re doing. Be thankful to someone who put you in a problem that comes and be persistent in doing something about it. Giving up easily is one of the main mistakes you can still do. If you want something, ask for it first and tell yourself that you can’t think of anything right now to justify that you are lazy or if you want something, then give up soon. Most likely you’ll not get it because you haven’t given anything up to do it! All those little acts help you to build up your strength. Think of how much work you have to go through to become whatever you want. Do you want to be an astronaut, a doctor, or a nurse, or what do you want me? Think of all the sacrifices you will have to make to achieve these goals. Focus only on having it all done and what you would accomplish. Because if you just focus on it you’ll never succeed at all.
If in doubt you can ask yourself why you like what you like. That is the whole reason.
Ask yourself these questions to discover your goal. Are you trying to get some money, fame, or something? do you want to learn how to win in sports? Are you trying to make friends?
Write down all your dreams as well. Asking yourself these questions can feel like starting your own business but it doesn’t have to be. Just start somewhere and let your feelings come over when you’ve got one. Write down something that you wish you didn’t have (it’s a fantasy) and start planning it now. Ask yourself “Why am I doing it?” For example, I was lucky to gain extra weight before I wanted to. I just liked a lot of food so I went for it. I wasn’t sure if that meant I wouldn’t look fat or if I would lose weight but I ended up losing a lot more bodyweight. I learned how to exercise because of my diet. My dream job became reality even though nobody knew of it. The hobby kept me busy in 2020 and I haven’t had any plans to stop. However, I still look forward to my next chance to do it.
You just need to stay positive and remember that life has its ups and downs. Some people may not have time to do something they want in their lives while other people have plenty of opportunities. Take positive advantage of these opportunities and use them to your advantage in how you can build yourself. Don’t wait for others to take action. Let others do it for you. Day by day you will get creative and you’ll start to notice that not everything is going to go so easily and smoothly. Don’t compare yourself with others and don’t make yourself jealous. Keep your eyes open for little lessons you could learn from others. Look deep inside and then let the light enter. Life isn’t about winning at everything or losing a few pounds. It's about staying positive and learning to share your passion with anyone who wants to listen.
In conclusion — you might think that this is a small piece of advice, but a bit large for a person who will go through similar problems. I gave you three points to remember in your daily routine and when you go to sleep because everything changes and sometimes you can’t be happy with the little actions that you don’t want to do. Stay focused on finding the things you enjoy doing and making progress. Believe in yourself and stay humble even if you can’t control what happens. You must believe in yourself and look at yourself and keep reminding yourself that everything in life happens for a reason there is nothing without any reason. Just don’t let yourself be discouraged at the slightest time but focus on the things that make your heart beat faster.
